CM’s Webinar to fast-track Vision 2030
KUCHING: The Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) today announced the Chief Minister’s Webinar, an online dialogue session to be held with Sarawak Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg and members of the Sarawak Business Federation.
The webinar will be held on 23rd November 2020, 10.00am, at the Chief Minister’s office and will be streamed live via Zoom, Facebook and Youtube to members of the public. With the topic ‘Budget 2021 towards Vision 2030’, the dialogue session aims to keep SBF members abreast with latest development as well as keeping members informed on how the state will pursue its transformation journey to be a high income nation by 2030.
“It is our hope that with the CM’s Webinar, we will be able to gain some valuable insights and discover proactive steps for our business organisations to adopt in order to move forward and be on the fast-track in helping Sarawak transform into a high income nation by the year 2030, as set by the chief minister. Some of the key goals of Vision 2030 is to increase household income to RM15,000 per household, to reduce absolute and relative poverty, to improve our health and environment and much more,” said Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, President of SBF, at the press conference to launch the CM’s Webinar.
“The Sarawak Business Federation is a conglomerate of key organisations and associations in Sarawak’s business sector with the purpose of promoting and protecting the interest of the business community in the state and serving as a link between the private and public sector. To date we have 15 business and trade associations as members including Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Dewan Usahawan Bumiputera Sarawak, Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sarawak and many more. Our members cover all business sectors and employ more than 80% of all private sector employees in Sarawak. This webinar will indeed be useful and much needed at this time for our members as well as other business organisations in Sarawak,” informed Datuk Philip Ting, Deputy President of SBF.
